The not so kid-friendly red-band trailer for Zombieland: Double Tap has released featuring some F-bombs, and that’s about it really.
Director Ruben Fleischer’s Zombieland (2009) became an instant cult classic and fans have been clamouring for a sequel ever since.
Ten years later and Fleischer, who directed Venom (2018) most recently is back with original writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (of 2016’s Deadpool fame) to deliver the goods.
Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone are all back reprising their roles as members of a makeshift dysfunctional family following a zombie apocalypse ten years prior.
The off-beat and humorous family dynamic is back in this sequel and we can see that the zombies have evolved into more powerful creatures.
The gang make their way to Washington in Double Tap, meeting some new human survivors that will shake things up a bit.
Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch and Luke Wilson are new additions to the human cast of characters and you’ll notice a welcome cameo in this new red-band trailer.
Aside from the aforementioned F-bombs featured in the trailer below, there’s not much more to it as opposed to the first trailer, but it should do enough to entice audiences to go see it.
Zombieland: Double Tap is due in cinemas on 17 October 2019.
