‘The Accountant’ – Solving the Puzzle Featurette

Check out the latest featurette ‘Solving the Puzzle’ for Ben Affleck’s upcoming film The Accountant, directed by Gavin O’Connor.

The new video featurette below sees the cast and crew shedding some light on the puzzle that is Affleck’s character Christian Wolff, who is a mathematical savant (think Russell Crow in A Beautiful Mind) that just happens to use his talents working for crime syndicates around the world.

Ben Affleck can seem to do no wrong career-wise as of late, be it his choice of starring roles and directing projects, and it looks like we may have another hit on our hands with The Accountant.

Director Gavin O’Connor (Warrior, Pride and Glory) is at the helm here and looks to have nailed the tone and world-building of the film, but the biggest highlight would have to be the superb casting choices.

This film easily has one of the best casts assembled for a film in 2016, with Affleck leading his co-stars that include Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, John Lithgow, Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey Tambor.

As far as talent goes, it really doesn’t get much better than that, so it should just come down to how O’Connor handles the pacing of the film, as well as the balance between drama, action and intrigue, though it’s all looking very promising at the moment for The Accountant.

The Accountant is due out in Australian cinemas on 3 November 2016.

The synopsis for the film, courtesy of Roadshow Films is as follows:

Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.
