Twisted and Haunting New Trailer for Upcoming ‘Suspiria’ Remake

twisted movies

Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria remake gets a twisted new trailer, keeping true to Dario Argento’s original film’s haunting nature.

Dakota Fanning plays Susie Bannion; a young dancer who travels to a renowned dance school in Berlin, only to discover the school is home to supernatural forces.

Call Me by Your Name (2017) director Luca Guadagnino stays true to Argento’s original vision here, with this macabre new look at the film.

The new trailer is full of horrific imagery in a style that pays homage to 60’s and 70’s style classic horrors.

Long story short: This movie looks rightfully disturbing.

There’ll be plenty of violence and demonic imagery, and should the film keep audiences engaged for its lengthy 2hr and 32-minute runtime, then we could have a modern horror classic on our hands here.

The original 1977 film was renowned for its vibrant cinematography and poignant score.

This modern remake appears to have adopted both those elements brilliantly, with Thom Yorke of Radiohead fame composing the score.

Tilda Swinton plays Madame Blanc, the dance school’s artistic director and looks like she was born for this role.

Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, Jessica Harper and Chloë Grace Moretz round out the cast.

The film releases on 2 November 2018.
