The upcoming drama Only the Brave tells the extraordinary true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, and their talent for fighting the most untameable wild fires Arizona had ever seen.
The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski and features an impressive cast that includes Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Connelly, Taylor Kitsch and James Badge Dale.
Only the Brave follows the journey of the Granite Mountain Hotshots and their preparation for the Arizona fire season.
The trailer starts by showing new father Brendan McDonough (Miles Teller) getting accepted into the Hotshots, whilst some of the more experienced members retell some of their frightening ordeals on the job.
Only the Brave seems to be similar to sports/drama films like Remember the Titans (2000); where the focus is on standing by each other, teamwork and banding together to overcome adversity.
The Granite Mountain Hotshots were a group of firefighters based in the city of Prescott in Arizona, and together, these nineteen men became one of the most respected firefighting teams in America.
As there were many stories to choose from, it is unclear from the trailer if the film is based on just one true event, numerous, or an interpretation of the Hotshots work.
The trailer for Only the Brave shows the film to be suspenseful, action-packed and most of all – inspiring.
The film releases across Australian cinemas on 30 November 2017, check out the trailer below.
