Always Be My Maybe is an upcoming Netflix romantic-comedy film featuring funny-woman Ali Wong and funny-man Randall Park.
Once close childhood friends Sasha (Wong) and Marcus (Park) are reunited again after years apart when they’re given the chance to rekindle an old spark.
Sasha, now a celebrity LA chef and recently dumped by her fiance (Daniel Dae Kim), returns to her hometown of San Francisco where she runs into her old flame, who has been living at home and working for his father the past 15 years they’ve been apart.
Hilarity ensues as the pair become friends once again, and maybe even more.
The trailer is full of hilarious, but also sweet and touching moments which should make this film appealing to most audiences.
There’s definitely nothing new here story-wise, but these films always provide some reliable entertainment value.
It’s a relatable story, however, and the film’s two leads are naturally gifted comedic actors that share some great on-screen chemistry.
Always Be My Maybe is directed Nahnatchka Khan who makes her directorial debut and is due to hit Netflix and limited theatres on 31 May 2019.
Check out the funny new trailer below and be sure to stay until the very end for a funny cameo by a certain John Wick (2014-) actor.
