The trailer for My Blind Brother, the quirky comedy-drama indie film starring funny-people Adam Scott, Nick Kroll and Jenny Slate.
The film follows the story of a blind man Robbie (Adam Scott) and his brother Bill (Nick Kroll), who fall for the same woman in Rose (Jenny Slate).
The three leads have all been fantastic in their respective, past comedy roles which include the TV series Parks and Recreation for both Scott and Slate, and the shows The League and The Kroll Show for Nick Kroll.
With their combined talents, it’s safe to assume there will be a fair bit of comedy in this film, but it won’t come without a sentimental vibe.
These types of independant films can be a bit hit-and-miss on entertainment value, but when they do hit, they’re often brilliant and thought-provoking.
The actors in this film will likely either make or break it as the story sounds pretty solid, and considering they’re all great talents then it should be a good one to check out.
Some other decent indie films worth checking out that star these actors include The Overnight (highly recommended), Adult Beginners and Obvious Child.
The above mentioned films will give you a good idea as to the style of film to expect with My Blind Brother.
Sophie Goodhart makes her directorial debut here and the film is due for release on 19 September 2016 in the USA.
IMDB Synopsis:
The rivalry between two brothers reaches a fever pitch during a charity swim competition.
