‘All the Money in the World’ – Trailer for New Ridley Scott Film

all the money in the world movie

All the Money in the World is based on a true story that appears to feature some powerhouse performances from Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg.

The story revolves around the kidnapping of J. Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) by a left-wing paramilitary organisation in 1970’s Italy, with the goal to extort a ransom from Getty’s grandfather, J. Paul Getty (Kevin Spacey) – the richest man in the history of the world.

The remarkable part of the story is that grandfather Getty was unwilling to pay the $17 million ransom to free his grandson from his captors, thus letting his young family member suffer the torturous consequences.

I haven’t read into the factual events of the story as I don’t want to spoil the movie for myself, but the first trailer highlights that detail, as well as giving us a look at the performances we can expect from its leads in Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg, as well as an unrecognisable Kevin Spacey.

It looks like each of the actors have brought their A-game for Ridley Scott’s latest, so with that in mind, along with an intriguing story to boot, All the Money in the World should be one to look out for when it releases on 8 December 2017 in the USA.

Check out the trailer below and let us know if you think this film will be a hit at the Oscars next year in the comments.
