Marvel Studios’ superheroes unite in the latest trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, in what is their toughest challenge yet.
This new trailer highlights more of the film’s villain’s plot, which see Thanos (Josh Brolin) out to destroy the half of the universe, in order to bring things into balance.
It sounds like there’s some logic to that goal (from a villainous, evil perspective), but of course not when it means countless numbers of innocent lives will be lost.
Thanos is seeking the five Infinity Stones, which will give him the power to accomplish his mission.
The Stones have been spread across the universe, with some of them residing with the Marvel superheroes.
Infinity War is the event-film that will see the culmination of 10 years worth of Marvel Studios’ film stories come to an end (until the next phase kicks off, of course).
The film has been a long time in the making, and is undoubtedly the most anticipated film to come from the studio yet.
Infinity Wars will feature all of the superhero characters come together, despite their differences, to take on the universe-ending threat that is Thanos.
It’s not the most original plot by any means, but the Marvel films have always been more about their characters rather than their plots.
Over the last 10 years we’ve grown with and loved these characters, all of whom are relatable in one way or another, and are ones that we as the audience have come to care about.
Rumours have it that one (or more) of the principal characters may get killed off in this film, and as you’ll see in the trailer – the threat is real.
Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas on 25 April 2018 in Australia.
