A new featurette for the film Lights Out has emerged and it features the producer of the film, horror-film icon James Wan.
The video features Wan talking about his role as producer and a bit about the making of the film.
What was really interesting was seeing Wan on the set of the film and it sounds like he was a regular there, passing on advice to the actors and crew.
It’s not something you always see as the producer generally keeps their work behind the scenes and off-set.
It’s a good sign for the film having him there on set, keeping his director in line with his larger vision for the film.
For anyone that doesn’t know yet, James Wan actually grew up and studied film in Melbourne, Australia.
Since breaking out in Hollywood with his film Saw, he’s risen to the top of the heap with follow-up films including Insidious, The Conjuring 1 and 2 and Furious 7.
He’s also been announced to direct the upcoming DC Universe film based on the character of Aquaman, which will be his largest gig to date.
Lights Out is currently screening nationwide and it stars Teresa Palmer, Maria Bello and Gabriel Bateman.
