Godzilla II: King of the Monsters finds the human race recruit Godzilla in an effort to take down some enormous kaiju enemies, featuring some insane monster action.
Godzilla and the human race must form an alliance in order to battle the god-size monsters Mothra, Rodan, and the three-headed goliath, King Ghidorah, who are out to cause havoc on the earth.
The trailer reveals the new plot details about the humans trying to work with the giant monster Godzilla, in order to bring down the new, menacing kaiju.
What follows is epic, sci-fi movie imagery of destruction and monster fights.
The action appears to be a big step up from 2014’s first Godzilla film by director Gareth Edwards.
Michael Dougherty is in the director’s chair for the sequel, in what is his biggest project to date.
His past works include the popular films Trick ‘r Treat (2007) and Krampus (2015).
King of the Monsters features an all-star cast that includes Stranger Things standout Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Thomas Middleditch, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Bradley Whitford, Charles Dance and Aisha Hinds.
Ken Watanabe also returns, reprising his role from the first film.
Godzilla II looks to be a classic spectacle film, perfect for viewing on the big screen.
It releases on 30 May 2019.
