Carrie Fisher was one of the world’s most recognisable actresses, after starring in the career-defining role of Princess Leia in the Star Wars films.
It was announced earlier today that the Star Wars star passed away after suffering a heart-attack.
Fisher’s career spanned over a massive 45 years, with a large number of roles in film and television, but of course none larger than her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars films.
It was that role that would catapult her into the hearts of film fans across the world, one that would last the course of decades.
She recently reprised her role in 2015’s The Force Awakens, to much fan-delight, and she’ll likely be seen again for the last time in 2017’s, Star Wars: Episode VIII.
She was an irreplaceable talent whose character and personality touched the hearts of many, one that will sorely be missed.
RIP Carrie.
