‘Blair Witch’ – New International Trailer and Poster

blair witch

The claustrophobic new international trailer for Blair Witch, the direct sequel to 1999’s genre-defining film, The Blair Witch Project.

The film has received lots of accolades based on the quotes from critics you can see in the trailer, so I can only hope it lives up to that and judging by this new trailer, it looks like it has the potential.

Based on the synopsis for the film (see below), it sounds like it is almost a carbon copy of the first film, however there must of course be more to it then that.

And even if there isn’t and the film is scary, then that’s all that should matter.

Since The Blair Witch project was released all those years ago, there have been countless films that feature the found-footage style that that film made popular, so hopefully this sequel can innovate on the style it created.

At the very least the film has Adam Wingard directing, who directed the outstanding indie horror films You’re Next and The Guest.

We’ll find out when the film releases on 15 September in Australia.
