Zach Galifianakis takes his popular Funny or Die sketch comedy show on the road in the upcoming Between Two Ferns: The Movie movie for Netflix.
Galifianakis plays himself in Between Two Ferns; a celebrity interview show where the interviewer makes his guest feel extremely uncomfortable by posing some awkward questions.
You can see some of the awkwardness I speak of in the trailer for the movie below, and in this feature based on his online comedy sketch, Galifianakis and his crew take to the road to film some interviews after an accident destroys his set, nearly killing Matthew McConaughey in the process.
The Between Two Ferns net series has seen Galifianakis interview some of the world’s biggest stars, and this film version will see many a celebrity involved.
The film features a whos-who of Hollywood celebrities that include Will Ferrell, Benedict Cumberbatch, Peter Dinklage, Chrissy Teigen, David Letterman, Jason Schwartzman, Tiffany Haddish, Paul Rust, Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones, John Legend, Adam Scott, Brie Larson, Jon Hamm, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, John Cho, Keanu Reeves and Chance the Rapper.
An ensemble cast of that calibre can only come together for a film like this, so it may be worth a look for that alone, to get to see one of your favourite celebrities be put in the hot seat, even if the humour isn’t your cup of tea.
Between Two Ferns: The Movie hits Netflix on 20 September 2019, check out the trailer below.
