‘Pain and Glory’ Trailer Sees Antonio Banderas on an Existential Journey

Antonio Banderas stars in Pain and Glory, a film which earned him a best actor award at 2019’s Cannes Film Festival.

In the film, Banderas plays a veteran filmmaker who has not been able to work due to multiple health ailments.

This fact causes him to reflect on his life – an effort that will bring about his salvation.

We can see from the film’s trailer that Antonio Banderas looks to be in career-best form here, fitting of his award.

Pain and Glory’s story and themes are that of a profound nature and you can certainly get the sense of that it in this trailer.

It looks like a film that will cause its audience to reflect upon their own lives and try to make amends where needed.

It’s a powerful thought and one that truely expresses the magic of cinema and storytelling.

Penelope Cruz co-stars and Pedro Almodóvar directs, with the director and star re-teaming after their work together on The Skin I Live In (2011), which was fantastic.

This looks like one not to be missed for all foreign film lovers, so be sure to check out Pain and Glory when it releases across cinemas on 7 November 2019.
