The first Men in Black International trailer has dropped, bringing with it some fresh new faces to reboot the popular film franchise.
A mole has appeared in the Men in Black organisation, with newcomers to the series, Agent M (Tessa Thompson) and Agent H (Chris Hemsworth) enlisted to solve the case while facing some new alien threats along the way.
The first trailer sets the tone for the new film, delivering a lighthearted and funny sci-fi romp, reminiscent of the tone of the original Men in Black films.
The first film in the series debuted in 1997 from director Barry Sonnenfeld and famously starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as the iconic alien-hunting duo.
That film made Will Smith an even more recognisable household name, as well as starting a huge franchise that would spawn multiple sequels.
Men in Black International is the follow-up to 2012’s Men in Black 3 and introduces two new Agents to drive the franchise in a new direction, as well as changing the setting from America to England.
Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson appear to have great chemistry judging by this first trailer, and should do a great job taking over the reigns from Smith and Jones.
They’re joined by a great supporting cast that includes Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson and Rebecca Ferguson.
The film is directed by F. Gary Gray, who gave us the awesome Straight Outta Compton (2015) and more recently, The Fate of the Furious (2017).
Men in Black International hits cinemas on 14 June 2019 and looks like it will be a fun film for all ages.
