DC is looking for a hit and if this final trailer for Aquaman is anything to go by, then this could be it.
The final trailer for James Wan’s Aquaman gives us the best look yet at the film’s plot and themes.
The underwater city of Atlantis needs more than a king, rather, they need a hero, as the new trailer will suggest.
Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry aka the DC superhero Aquaman, who is required to find a special trident needed to take down his nemesis Orm (Patrick Wilson), as well as the villainous Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II).
This final trailer features heavily Willem Dafoe’s character Nuidis Vulko, who hasn’t had much screen time in the trailers leading up to this one.
Vulko plays Aquaman’s spiritual master and fight trainer, teaching him the ways of combat, and values, from a young age.
Dafoe is great in anything he’s in and makes a great addition this star-packed cast.
The film also features Nicole Kidman, Amber Heard, Dolph Lundgren and Temuera Morrison.
We also get to see plenty of action and more stunning visuals in this final trailer, as it teases a pure comic-book film epic.
DC’s in desperate need for a hit with fans and critics after the poor reception Justice League (2017) received last year.
We’ll know soon enough how things fare for Aquaman, as the film hits cinemas on 26 December 2018.
