The new US trailer for Incident in a Ghostland aka Ghostland has dropped, giving us an insight into what looks like a nasty horror movie.
Directed by Pascal Laugier, this horror-thriller tells the story of a mother who must defend her two daughters against murderous intruders.
On the first night staying in their newly inherited house, traumatic events occur which go on to affect the whole family in drastically different ways, especially the two daughters.
Their personalities diverge further after this destructive attack, which still affects them years later.
Beth (Crystal Reed) has moved out and become a successful horror writer while Vera (Anastasia Phillips), who never left the house, has become broken by her paranoia.
When they all reconvene in the house sixteen years later, strange events occur which forces them to reevaluate the night in question.
Laughier’s films are known for their harsh treatment of female characters (his 2008 film Martyrs sees a woman repeatedly tortured until she quite literally, sees God) and Ghostland looks to be no exception.
Directed and written by Laugier, Ghostland stars Crystal Reed, Taylor Hickson, Rob Archer, Emilia Jones, Adam Hurtig, Anastasia Phillips, Mylène Farmer and Alicia Johnston.
Set to be released on 22 June 2018 in the US, check out the trailer below!
