Horror fans are in for a treat with the new anthology film series Welcome to the Blumhouse set to hit Amazon Prime right in time for Halloween.
Fans of horror movies are quite familiar with the Blumhouse brand after releasing several modern horror classics like Get Out (2017) and Paranormal Activity (2009), and while not quite classics, fun horrors like Happy Death Day (2017) and Happy Death Day 2U (2019).
The above mentioned films, amongst many other cool, modern horror movies (and non-horror too) have seen the production house, under the tutelage of Jason Blum become a powerhouse in the industry.
Blumhouse sets to continue their run with the release of four new horror films as part of its anthology series on Amazon Prime Video, aptly titled Welcome to the Blumhouse.
The four featured films are listed below with their IMDB synopsises:
The Lie
A father and daughter are on their way to dance camp when they spot the girl’s best friend on the side of the road. When they stop to offer the friend a ride, their good intentions soon result in terrible consequences.
Black Box
Black Box is about a man struggling to regain his memory after surviving a tragic car accident. Desperate to return to his former self while trying to raise his daughter, he receives an experimental treatment that helps him probe into a past which suddenly feels too dark to be his own.
Nocturne
An incredibly gifted pianist makes a Faustian bargain to overtake her older sister at a prestigious institution for classical musicians.
Evil Eye
A superstitious mother is convinced that her daughter’s new boyfriend is the reincarnation of a man who tried to kill her 30 years ago.
All of the titles featured in the anthology feature intriguing and disturbing plots, and from the glimpses we see of them in the trailer below, they all look equally terrifying, which should please fans of the genre.
The Lie and Black Box drop on 6 October with Nocturne and Evil Eye arriving on 13 October 2020.
