The long awaited trailer for Avengers: Infinity War (2018) has finally dropped, and it’s sure not to disappoint eager Marvel Studios film fans.
Infinity Wars is the culmination of 10 years worth of character building through Marvel Studios’ standalone character and team-up movies.
The first trailer for the highly anticipated film features characters from Marvel’s entire cinematic roster, including the arrival of the MCU’s big bad Thanos, played by Josh Brolin.
We’re treated to a voice-over narration from various superheroes in the trailer, as Thanos makes his appearance and begins a series of events that unites The Avengers with many other characters from the MCU, in order to stop him from, you guessed it, destroying the world.
Once again the plot seems to be fairly ordinary, however the sheer scope of this film warrants enough interest for it.
After all, for better or worse, we’ve stuck with Marvel for 10 long years, so it’s about time we see how all the numerous films and characters that have been introduced before this, come together.
Of note in the trailer for the new film is some cosmetic changes to familiar characters, such as Black Widow’s (Scarlett Johansson) new blonde locks, Captain America’s (Chris Evans) new beard and suit, as well as Spider-Man’s (Tom Holland) fancy new attire.
These small things, along with the arrival of Thanos and lots of other epic footage in the trailer definitely make Infinity Wars one to get excited about.
The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and is due to hit cinemas on 25 April 2018.
