Special Look Video on the ‘Star Wars’ Phenomenon

star wars phenomenon

To tie into the release of The Rise of Skywalker, a new video has dropped, taking a look at the decades-long Star Wars phenomenon.

It all started back in 1977 when a visionary director by the name of George Lucas released a little sci-fi fantasy film called Star Wars: A New Hope.

The ambitious project would go on to become the most popular film franchise of all time, spawning countless spinoffs and sequels in all forms of media, as well as a merchandising license like no other.

But most importantly, the Star Wars phenomenon would have a far greater impact in touching and in some cases, shaping the lives of its fans.

From presidents to princes, to you and me, Star Wars has had a profound impact on entertainment-loving citizens and global pop culture.

The video pays tribute to the diehard fans that have kept the franchise alive for 40 plus years, as well as featuring some funny Star Wars references that have popped up in the mainstream media over the years (spoilers too if you haven’t seen the original trilogy).

The latest entry in the franchise will be the upcoming The Rise of Skywalker, which will end the decades-long Skywalker saga that George Lucas introduced to us way back when.

It will be a bittersweet moment for all fans once the film is released on 19 December 2020, but one of celebration as well.

And just because this is the end of one long chapter in the Star Wars universe, doesn’t mean it’s the end altogether, as there’s plenty of more new content planned for the future.

Whether you love or hate the Star Wars phenomenon, the global pop culture impact is undeniable.

Check out the awesome new video below and expect some goosebumps if you’re a fan.
