A Simple Favour is a comedy/mystery/thriller film from Paul Feig starring Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Linda Cardellini and Rupert Friend.
The teaser trailer doesn’t give much away, rather just featuring some voice over narration from Kendrick’s character Stephanie talking about her friend Emily (Blake Lively) – who has just recently disappeared.
The trailer is juxtaposed with some images and footage from the film, teasing some mysterious characteristics of Emily, and the potential dark circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
We’ll need to wait for the full trailer to get more of an idea of the plot, though coming from Paul Feig, this should be good.
Feig has directed some well known, female-led films in the past such as Ghostbusters (2016), Spy (2015), The Heat (2013) and the super-popular comedy Bridesmaids (2011).
You can never go wrong with a small-town mystery film, and when you combine a director of this calibre with the acting talent on board here, then we should be in for a treat.
A Simple Favour releases across cinemas on 14 September 2018 in the US.
