Check out the latest and final trailer for Ben Affleck’s prohibition-era gangster film, Live by Night, based on a novel by Denis Lehane.

This is the second time Lehane and Affleck have collaborated, with Affleck having directed the outstanding film Gone Baby Gone (2007), which was also based off a Lehane novel.

The latest trailer is action-packed and gives us an indication of the film’s plot, with Affleck’s character set to make waves in the prohibition-era crime world.

The film looks like it will have some beautiful cinematography, and everyone loves a crime-flick, so this is definitely one to get excited about, especially considering Affleck has been on a tear in Hollywood lately.

The upcoming gangster film features an excellent cast that along with Affleck includes Zoe Saldana, Elle Fanning, Scott Eastwood and Chris Cooper.

Live by Night is due to hit cinemas on 13 January 2017 in the USA, check out the final trailer below.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

What you put out into this world will always come back to you, but it never comes back how you predict. Taking fatherly advice is not in Joe Coughlin’s nature. Instead, the WWI vet is a self-proclaimed anti-establishment outlaw, despite being the son of the Boston Police Deputy Superintendent. Joe’s not all bad, though; in fact, he’s not really bad enough for the life he’s chosen. Unlike the gangsters he refuses to work for, he has a sense of justice and an open heart, and both work against him, leaving him vulnerable time and again—in business and in love. Driven by a need to right the wrongs committed against him and those close to him, Joe heads down a risky path that goes against his upbringing and his own moral code. Leaving the cold Boston winter behind, he and his reckless crew turn up the heat in Tampa. And while revenge may taste sweeter than the molasses that infuses every drop of illegal rum he runs, Joe will learn that it comes at a price.
