The prequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre gets a trailer, bringing with it some horrifying, but also satisfying footage for your nightmare tonight.
Satisfying in the sense that as a horror film, there are some horrific elements in the trailer, which is what you’d hope to see in a movie like this.
Even though I’m sure no one’s asking for this movie, the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the greatest horror movie of all time in my opinion, so I’m definitely down for this.
The film follows the original film’s villain Leatherface, as a teenager coming up in the world of chainsawing people… In Texas presumably.
I honestly can’t believe it’s taken this long to make a prequel film about one of the horror-genre’s leading villains.
It’s also good to see Stephen Dorff back on the big screen, as he appears to have been away from the mainstream circuit for some time.
He’s joined by Lili Taylor and Nicole Andrews, and the film is directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury – directors of the french horror film Inside (2007).
I’ve yet to see that film but now have a good excuse.
Leatherface is due for release on 20 October 2017, check out the trailer below, if you dare.
