Check Out the Thrilling Jurassic World Short Film ‘Battle at Big Rock’

Jurassic World Short Film

A family is put in some serious danger in the Jurassic World short film, Battle at Big Rock, from director Colin Trevorrow.

Well, this is a nice surprise for Jurassic World (2015) fans.

That film’s director, Colin Trevorrow, has at some point managed to shoot a short film set in the Jurassic World universe, that appears to be set after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018).

In the short film, a family, led by parents portrayed by André Holland and Natalie Martinez are attacked by an Allosaurus in their family campervan.

They seem a bit surprised to see how it and a couple of other herbivore dinosaurs have made it down to their location, though they seem to be aware that dinosaurs are now free-roaming the land regularly inhabited by humans.

Things quickly go south when the deadly Allosaurus turns on them and they’re forced to fight for their lives.

Battle at Big Rock is a nice treat for Jurassic World franchise film fans and I can only guess that Trevorrow has produced it for the purpose of hyping up his upcoming film, Jurassic World 3, which is expected to drop in 2021.

The new Jurassic World films were met with a mixed reception but have earned enough at the box office to warrant a trilogy.

Steven Spielberg kicked off the franchise with his iconic film, Jurassic Park (1993), and while the two new reboot films can’t match that film’s status, they’re still quite enjoyable.

Check out the cool new short film below!
