Check out the first official trailer for the psychosexual drama film Frank & Lola, starring Michael Shannon and Imogen Poots, directed by Matthew Ross.
The film follows Frank (Michael Shannon), a chef, and Lola (Imogen Poots), a fashion designer, and after the two fall in love, things appear to turn sour when Frank starts to act possessive.
The trailer reveals a very cool, noir-ish aesthetic for the film by writer-director Matthew Ross, who makes his debut here.
It also looks like there’s a lot the trailer isn’t showing us, such as just how far the film is going to push the boundaries on the shock-factor, if at all, but it does at least look like it will have a few twists and turns which is always good.
The film features two outstanding leads in Michael Shannon and Imogen Poots, both of whom have an excellent screen-presence.
Joining them are Justin Long, Rosanna Arquette and Michael Nyqvist.
The film releases on 9 December 2016 in the USA, however there’s no release date announced for Australia as yet.
Check out the trailer below.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
