The first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has dropped, featuring a returning cast with some welcome new faces, which should please fans of the wizarding world.
The Crimes of Grindelwald is the sequel to the 2016 film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a spinoff film in the Harry Potter universe.
This followup will see the return of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and friends, as they attempt to thwart the plans of the villainous Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).
New to the lineup is Jude Law, who plays a young Albus Dumbledore, who fans will remember as the top wizard from the Harry Potter films and movies.
The trailer serves as a bit of a teaser, with only a slight hint at the plot, however it does give us lots of magical eye candy.
There’s plenty of action on display here, along with a good look at what to expect from the VFX and creature front, and it appears rather well thought-out, just like in the first film.
David Yates is back directing (and set to direct the next 3 Fantastic Beasts films after this one).
Also returning are Katherine Waterston and fan-favourite from the first film Dan Fogler.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits cinemas on 15 November 2018, check out the trailer below.
