Check Out this Petrifying Clip from the New Killer-Gator Horror Film ‘Crawl’

The B-grade-looking horror movie Crawl is produced by Sam Raimi and directed by Alexandre Aja (whose still yet to better 2003’s High Tension).

Last year it was Jason Statham taking on giant sharks in The Meg, this year we get Barry Pepper battling killer alligators in Crawl.

The film takes place during a Category 5 hurricane in Florida, where young woman Haley Keller (Kaya Scodelario) ignores evacuation orders to return to her hometown in search of her missing father (Pepper).

Finding her father wounded, Keller must try and save him as the house he’s trapped in begins to flood and is invaded by giant alligators looking for their next meal (see the new clip below).

Yes, it sounds ludicrous and will no doubt be full of over-the-top moments, but Crawl is exactly the type of monster film that ticks all the right boxes.

According to Bloody Disgusting, the film received rave reviews at CinemaCon earlier this year and was described as “bloody and chaotic.”

I’m not sure about you but I’m a sucker for these types of films, and while expectations are low, knowing Raimi and Aja are both involved makes me optimistic that this could be a horror sleeper.

Crawl is in cinemas now, check out the new clip as well as the film’s trailer below.
