‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm’ Trailer Sees Borat Up to His Old Tricks

Sacha Baron Cohen is back as the controversial Borat in the new sequel film, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, and it looks like a hoot.

Borat is back in the USA, fourteen years after his first foray on the big screen, and this time, he’s brought his daughter along and is set to premiere on the small screen, with Amazon Prime claiming distribution rights.

In Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Baron Cohen pokes fun at American politics and its people’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, while trying to marry off his daughter into what appears to be a super wealthy family.

It’s classic Borat humor, so fans of the character will be in for a treat here, and while the trailer gives us a good idea of what to expect, it’s certain the most ludicrous, controversial parts are being kept secret for the film’s release.

Baron Cohen recently produced and starred in the comedy TV series Who is America?, which made fun of American culture, politics, and its more patriotic people.

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm feels like a continuation of that, only with a different protagonist, one that is arguably Baron Cohen’s funniest character (sorry Ali G, you’re up there though).

Check out the film exclusively on Amazon Prime Video from 23 October 2020.
