‘Before the Flood’ – Trailer for New Climate Change Documentary

flood

Leonardo DiCaprio stars in and narrates the upcoming documentary Before the Flood, which tackles one of modern day’s biggest issues – climate change.

The trailer below sees Hollywood superstar and climate change advocate Leonardo DiCaprio journey the world and speak to some of the most powerful people on the planet, in a search to discover the effects of climate change on the earth, as well as to speak with world-leaders about possible solutions.

Anyone that follows DiCaprio’s career knows that he is a big advocate for solving the world’s climate change problems.

You’ll notice in the trailer that it’s mentioned that we’ve known about climate change for decades, and even though its effects are clear as the eye can see, there are still political leaders and powers-that-be that refuse to admit it even exists.

It’s a pretty shocking thought when you think about it, that our world is degrading at a pace that we can witness with our own eyes, yet so little is being done about it.

We can only hope this documentary brings more light to the issue, and with one of the most recognisable faces on earth spearheading the campaign, there’s a very good chance that some change may be possible.

The documentary is directed by Fisher Stevens, who won a Best Documentary Feature Oscar for his work on 2009’s The Cove, which is must-see viewing.

Bearing that in mind and with the release of the first trailer for this documentary, it looks like this one could also be a must-see.

Before the Flood hits American cinemas on 21 October 2016.

IMDB Synopsis:

A look at how climate change affects our environment and what society can do prevent the demise of endangered species, ecosystems and native communities across the planet.
