‘Assassin’s Creed’ – Leap of Faith Making Of Video

faith

See how the crew of Assassin’s Creed shot the leap of faith, one of the signature moves in the game, in the upcoming adaptation starring Michael Fassbender.

If you’re afraid of heights, you may not enjoy this.

The leap of faith move in the game sees the protagonist jump off a high building, usually into a barrow full of hay.

The filmmakers opted to shoot the jump using a stunt actor rather than use computer animation for the same effect, which would usually be the norm – and it’s very impressive.

The stunt actor in this instance jumps from a 125-foot platform to achieve the desired shot, which is an immense feat, and the practical element will make the shot look much better than a computer animated one.

It appears there will be plenty of practical elements in this film, according to director Justin Kurzel, which can only help the film in the end.

Whether or not the story holds, we’ll just have to see when the hotly anticipated film is released on 26 December 2016 in Australia.

The film is directed by Australia’s own Justin Kurzel, director of Snowtown and Macbeth, and stars Michael Fassbender in the lead role, along with a great supporting cast including Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson and Michael Kenneth Williams.
