Check out the latest trailer for All Eyez on Me, the film based on Tupac Shakur’s life and starring Demetrius Shipp Jr. as the legendary rap icon.
This latest trailer gives us the best look at what to expect from the film; a thorough look into the life of the world’s most popular rap star.
It appears the film will cover Tupac’s upbringing through to his rise to mega-stardom in the rap and music worlds.
Anyone that’s a fan of his music (and rap music in general) knows how his story ends, however it will be interesting to see what (if any) new knowledge of the rapper’s life is brought to light in the film.
In any case, it should be a nice introduction to the rapper for those that are unfamiliar with him and his work, and I’m sure the film will pay a nice tribute to the man, to please all of his current fans.
Tupac is played by Demetrius Shipp Jr., who shares a striking resemblance with the late rapper.
We’ll have to wait and see how Shipp Jr. goes with the performance though, as resemblance alone in a music biography doesn’t necessarily mean much, but it also doesn’t hurt.
The film is directed by Benny Boom, who is mostly untested on the big stage, so we can only hope he pays Tupac’s legacy the due respect it deserves with this film.
Check out the trailer below, before the film hits Australian cinemas on 15 June 2017.
