Game Night stars Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams and follows a group of friends that regularly meet up for game night, only to find themselves trying to solve a murder mystery at their most recent… Game night.
Gone are the usual boardgames this group plays, replaced with a more interactive murder-mystery type game akin to the likes of Cluedo, where nothing is what it seems.
The new trailer gives us a look at the type of humour to expect, and it looks hilarious.
It comes from the writing team behind the Horrible Bosses (2011-14) films which were both decent comedies, so if you’ve seen those then you’ll know what to expect here.
Those films, and I expect this one too, feature mildly crude humour with some violence, making it user friendly towards most audiences, while still being somewhat over the top.
It’s a great blend of humour that usually works well and when you put a cast of this calibre in the same film together, you’re sure to have a good time.
Game Night features a great ensemble cast that includes Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, along with Kyle Chandler, Billy Magnussen, Sharon Horgan, Lamorne Morris, Kylie Bunbury, Jesse Plemons, Michael C. Hall and Jeffrey Wright.
It’s due for release on 22 February 2018.
