Disney recently released a new poster for the upcoming live-action remake of their classic film Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle.
It appears Disney will be adapting all of their classic animated films into live-action features, especially since this year’s The Jungle Book became a huge success.
Whether or not it’s necessary to remake these films with weird looking CGI and animatronic animals/characters is debatable, but there’s obviously a market for it, and that dictates everything these days.
The new poster is an updated take on the original poster for the animated film, that features Belle (Watson), dancing with the Beast (Dan Stevens).
The colours and the composition of the poster all work really well, making for an appealing design.
Beauty and the Beast is directed by Bill Condon and features an all-star cast that includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline and Josh Gad, with the voices of Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen, and Emma Thompson.
The film is set to continue Disney’s trend of cinematic world-domination when it hits theatres in March 2017.
What do you think of Disney’s plans to remake all of their animated movie classics into live-action?
