‘Dunkirk’ – Announcement Trailer

announcement

An announcement teaser trailer has just been released for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming war-drama, Dunkirk, starring Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy.

The teaser was released online after recently being leaked on the internet, in a video a user took from their mobile phone in the cinema.

The teaser is scheduled to screen before the start of Suicide Squad at theatres and was officially published after the leak.

Nolan, the world-class director of Interstellar, Inception and The Dark Knight Trilogy is directing Dunkirk from his own original screenplay, utilising a mix of IMAX and 65mm film to bring the story to the screen.

Dunkirk is the story of hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops, surrounded by enemy forces in WW2 as they face an impossible situation with the enemy closing in.

The short teaser gives you an indication of the above and it does look very intense.

It’s Nolan’s first dive into war territory, but the director is best-in-class and should have no problems bringing this story to life – and it being excellent.

The film also stars Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh and is due for release in July 2017.

It’s always an exciting time when you hear Christopher Nolan is releasing a new film and we’ll just have to eagerly await its arrival.

In the meantime we can expect a war-drama fix with Mel Gibson’s upcoming film Hacksaw Ridge, due out in November of 2016.

IMDB Synopsis:

Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II.
