Pennywise, the creepiest horror-movie clown is back to haunt your dreams in the first teaser trailer for It: Chapter Two.
The Losers Club kids have all grown up since the horrifying events of 27 years prior in their hometown of Derry took place, however, they’ve been summoned back only to find the horror has returned.
Director Andy Muschietti has brought the scare-factor back to his sequel of 2017’s IT and it looks like this followup will be equally as terrifying.
The teaser trailer reveals a short clip from the film that features Jessica Chastain’s character, Beverly Marsh, revisit her family home, now occupied by an elderly lady.
There’s something odd about the old woman though, and things turn dark pretty quick as you’ll see below.
We’re then shown some quick snippets of scenes from the film that showcases the new adult cast (as well as the young cast from the first film), along with the spooky Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) reveal at the end.
Based on the classic Stephen King novel of the same name, 2017’s IT was a smash hit and its sequel was very quickly greenlit.
It’s been two years since, and if the first teaser is anything to go by, then fans should be in for a treat with this one.
Joining Chastain in the new adult cast is James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone, and Andy Bean.
All of the young actors from the first film, including Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard are also back.
Check it out below while we wait for the film to hit cinemas on 5 September 2019.
