Paramount Pictures has released a new featurette for the upcoming film Ben-Hur. The video titled ‘Epic’ highlights some of the massive action set-pieces of the film.
The featurette features actor Jack Huston who plays the lead character of Ben-Hur and supporting cast member Morgan Freeman as they talk about the plot of the film.
It’s a nice video to highlight some of the awesome battles in the film, and while they do look impressive, it could be the film’s undoing, as too much focus on the spectacle might take away from the story.
The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov, whose past English-language film credits include Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Wanted and stars Jack Huston, Morgan Freeman, Toby Kebbell and Rodrigo Santoro.
Ben-Hur is scheduled for release on 25 August 2016 in Australian cinemas.
