Ralph (John C. Reilly) and friends are back in the upcoming sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet, in what appears to be a funny, and charming homage to Disney.
in Wreck-It Ralph 2, Ralph and his best friend Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) visit the ‘internet’, where they embark on an adventure in a digital space full of colourful new worlds, characters, trends and algorithms that make up the internet, as well as a whole bunch of Disney princesses.
Vanellope meeting the Disney princesses is by far the highlight of this new trailer, in a funny scene that will surely be expanded on in the film.
There’s not much else in this trailer plot-wise, but the wit and charm from the first film appear to have returned, along with even more pop-culture references and product placements.
Joining John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman is a large ensemble cast that includes Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Taraji P. Henson, Alan Tudyk, James Corden, Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Kelly Macdonald, Auli’i Cravalho, Jason Lee and Ed O’Neill.
It’s a great lineup of voice talent, and the comedic writing appears to be on point, so there should be something for kids and adults alike to enjoy in Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.
The film is directed by Phil Johnston and Rich Moore and is due to arrive in cinemas on 26 December 2018.
