Regina Hall plays a hard-nosed company boss that’s forced to re-evaluate her character after being transformed into a young version of herself.
After a spell is placed on the mean-spirited Jordan Sanders (Hall) that traps her in the body of her teenage self, Sanders will have to learn how to control her temper and once again, be nice to others.
Little is a somewhat reverse coming-of-age story, that sees a woman that’s already of age, have to come of age – again.
It’s a similar premise to the 1988 Tom Hanks classic Big, but in reverse.
In Big, Hanks played a young boy that was placed into the body of an older version of himself in order to learn life’s lessons, with Little taking the opposite approach.
Based on the trailer for the film from the producers of Night School (2018) and Girls Trip (2017), audiences can expect a good time.
It’s funny and charming at the same time, and films with premises like this one often offer up some valuable take-home messages.
The film co-stars Marsai Martin and Issa Rae and is directed by Tina Gordon Chism.
It’s due out for release on 12 April 2019, check out the new trailer below.
