Trailer for Upcoming Action-Comedy – ‘The Spy Who Dumped Me’

the spy who dumped me trailer

Starring Mila Kunis as Audrey and Kate McKinnon as her best friend, Morgan, The Spy Who Dumped Me looks like it’s going to be a doozy.

At the very least, I know that it’ll get a laugh out of me.

The Spy Who Dumped Me follows Audrey and Kate, as they tangle with international killers believing them to be privy to classified information.

Audrey discovers that the reason she is amidst such a conspiratorial and dangerous mess is because her ex-boyfriend, the one who had previously dumped her, is a spy.

Writers Susanna Fogel and David Iserson string together some sharp and funny quips that I hope will be present throughout the entirety of the movie.

I say this because recently I have found that films presenting all of their best scenes in the trailer often end up being quite underwhelming.

Through Fogel’s direction, The Spy Who Dumped Me highlights the matter of female fortitude within a male-dominated world, a theme that is consistent with many of today’s movies.

This film looks to be a refreshing take on female strength of character and the comic tone that runs throughout it makes for a light-hearted feel.

Though Kunis’ character is the lead, I get the feeling that it is McKinnon who will carry the film.

She is a new favourite actress of mine and her delivery of the script serves to make her lines all the more belly-achingly entertaining.

The film releases across cinemas on 3 August 2018.
