Producer Sam Raimi and director Alexandre Aja bring us the new disaster/monster mashup movie Crawl, and it seems to work!
Florida is hit with a massive hurricane when two of its residents become trapped in their family home.
Not only will they need to survive the forces of mother nature, but they’ll also have to survive the onslaught of killer alligators!
Kaya Scodelario plays the lead role in the film as she sets out to save her father (Barry Pepper) from his demise in their family home after the rest of the town have evacuated.
A hurricane is terrifying enough, throw some deadly alligators in the mix and we have an interesting horror mashup movie.
Coming from the mind of legendary director/producer Sam Raimi and highly capable horror director Alexandre Aja, Crawl looks like it will be a lot of fun for horror movie fans.
They’ve nailed the intrigue in the trailer which is great, though it appears they may have also shown a bit too much.
Hopefully, the filmmakers have some surprises left for us in the final product.
Crawl hits cinemas on 11 July 2019.
