Check out the latest featurette for the film Sully, which details the dream team combo of director and actor for the film based on an incredible true story.
Sully tells the true story of the events that occurred after the Miracle on the Hudson event took place in 2009, where Captain Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger safely crash-landed his disabled plane on New York’s Hudson river, saving the lives of all 155 passengers on board.
In the video, the cast and crew of the film pay homage to director Clint Eastwood and lead actor Tom Hanks, who combined, have been involved in some the greatest films in American cinematic history.
With those two powerhouses on board and an unbelievable story to boot, Sully has the potential to be one of the year’s best films.
Sully stars Tom Hanks as Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger, Aaron Eckhart as Sully’s co-pilot, Jeff Skiles, and Oscar nominee Laura Linney as Sully’s wife, Lorraine Sullenberger.
Clint Eastwood directs the film from a screenplay by Todd Komarnicki, based on the book Highest Duty by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow.
Advanced sneak-preview sessions for Sully have been added nationally for Father’s Day this Sunday 4 September, ahead of the release on Thursday, September 8.
