‘The Silence of the Lambs’ Recut as a Romantic Comedy – Trailer

The Silence of the Lambs

The horrifying thriller The Silence of the Lambs (1991) gets hilariously recut as a romantic comedy in this latest trailer mix.

The team over at Cinefix on Youtube have made an excellent new video, recutting the trailer for the classic thriller film The Silence of the Lambs, turning it into a romantic comedy.

Anyone that’s seen the film knows just how absurd that sounds, but they’ve managed to make it work and you should get a bit of a chuckle out of the video.

The original film is a classic of modern cinema, that earned 5 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role (for Anthony Hopkins) and Best Actress in a Leading Role (for Jodie Foster).

I can’t recall another film where both leads won Best Actor/Actress at the Oscars, which is an amazing feat.

The film was directed by Jonathan Demme (who also won Best Director), and follows the story of a young FBI agent (Foster), who is tasked with interviewing the notorious serial killer Hannibal Lecter (Hopkins), in order to track down another, currently active killer.

The film became an instant classic upon release and is a must-see for all film fans.

Check out the funny video below, and you can see even more videos on the Cinefix Youtube channel.
