The most popular animated film and TV dog, Scooby-Doo and his team of crime-solving buddies are back for the upcoming animated feature film, Scoob!.
Scoob! tells the origin story behind Scooby (Frank Welker) and his longtime best friend Shaggy’s (Will Forte) first meeting.
We also get to see how Scooby and Shaggy met their crime-fighting friends Fred (Zac Efron), Velma (Gina Rodriguez) and Daphne (Amanda Seyfried), as we join them on a spooky new adventure.
The first thing you’ll notice from the trailer is the film’s animated style, which has changed from a traditional 2D format we’re used to seeing in movies and shows featuring these characters, to a fully 3D animated style.
There’s plenty of humour and charm in the trailer and the hijinx the gang get up to should please a lot of its young audience.
There will also likely be plenty of hidden jokes that only adults will understand in this film, so it’ll have something for everyone.
Scooby-Doo has been around since 1969 as part of the Hanna-Barbera family of cartoons and the characters from this franchise have gone on to enter the mainstream pop-culture consciousness since their inception.
Scooby and friends have been sen across various mediums over the last 50 years and this latest addition looks like a welcome one.
The voices of Tracy Morgan, Ken Jeong, Kiersey Clemons, Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs feature alongside the film’s principal cast.
Scoob! hits cinemas on 18 June 2020, check out the first teaser trailer below.
