Acclaimed director Peter Jackson shares a sneak peek into his upcoming documentary, The Beatles: Get Back, about the band that needs no introduction.
Jackson introduces the project to the audience in the new sneak peek video below, before sharing footage of the band rehearsing, and singing their popular song, ‘Get Back’, with overlays of more never-before-seen footage from the band.
The director claims to have over 60 hours of footage he’s restored from the band’s video archives, which should make for some exciting viewing for Beatles fans.
In the new documentary film, the audience goes behind-the-scenes with Beatles band members, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison, as they share a look at the behind-the-scenes process in preparation for the release of their film, Let it Be (1969).
Jackson had this to say about the release of the 5-minute sneak peek video:
“We wanted to give the fans of The Beatles all over the world a holiday treat, so we put together this five-minute sneak peek at our upcoming theatrical film ‘The Beatles: Get Back.’”
“We hope it will bring a smile to everyone’s faces and some much-needed joy at this difficult time.”
And fans of The Beatles will certainly be left with a smile on their face with this new footage.
The Beatles: Get Back is due to open in American cinemas on 27 August 2021 and in Australian and New Zealand cinemas on 2 September 2021.
