Damon plays an average suburbanite who’s forced to take matters into his own hands after his home is invaded, in the George Clooney-directed, Suburbicon.
The poor man’s wife is murdered by the mob, and soon after it seems they decide tie up loose-ends by going after himself and his young son.
Whether or not it was a case of mistaken identity is yet to be seen though, however I suspect that may be one possibility.
Being that Suburbicon is written by the Coen brothers, it’s likely that not everything is what it seems and the film will be full of twists and turns.
The trailer oozes with the Coen’s style, so fans of their past work should get something out of this, and for a film with such a grim storyline, it looks like it will be full of dark humour (also typical of most of their work).
It’s directed by George Clooney, who most recently directed the poorly received The Monuments Men (2014).
Joining Matt Damon are Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac, and the film is due for release on 3 November 2017.
