Marvel TV Show ‘Wandavision’ Sends Audiences to Bizarro Land

marvel tv shows

Vision and Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch are sent into some nightmarish TV sitcom reality in the new Disney+ Marvel TV show Wandavision.

Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen reprise their roles as Avengers team members Vision and Scarlet Witch respectively, in the new spinoff TV series from the MCU, Wandavision, exclusively on Disney+.

The first trailer for the series doesn’t give much away except that it appears Vision and Scarlet Witch are living an idealized life trapped in some type of TV sitcom.

They soon realize that they’re in some sort of simulation, or perhaps even an afterlife, as the trailer alludes to Vision being dead.

That being the case, it’s highly likely that Wandavision is set following the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019)and may give audiences a glimpse of the direction the MCU is going in, in its next iteration.

Marvel doesn’t appear to be setting any limitations in its direction, as Wandavision looks uniquely puzzling, intriguing, disturbing, and somewhat horrifying.

Being a Disney and Marvel product, however, it will of course be accessible to as wide an audience as possible, which makes it that much more interesting to see where they go with it.

It’s also the first entry in an expanded Marvel TV universe, which will also see the likes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier make its debut in 2021.

Wandavision co-stars Kathryn Hahn, Kat Dennings, and Randall Park, and is scheduled to release on Disney+ soon.
