With Logan just around the corner, Fox has released a second trailer for the upcoming film starring Hugh Jackman, in his most recognisable role.
This second (and bloody) trailer reveals a bit more of the film’s plot, which sees young Laura Kinney/X-23 (Dafne Keen) fall under the care of an ageing Logan (Jackman), who is currently caring for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart).
We get to see X-23 in action in this trailer, and at such a young age she appears to be a killing-machine already.
Logan seems reluctant to care for the young girl, though it looks like his better nature will take over when he realises some shady characters are on their trail, led by Boyd Holbrook’s villain character, Donald Pierce.
This latest trailer for Logan looked pretty impressive, and it seems director James Mangold and team are going for a more humanised story with this one, with plenty of action of course.
I’m optimistic that Logan will be good, as long as it can hold the same tone throughout the entire film and not fall into generic-action territory in its final act like 2013’s The Wolverine did.
Logan is due out on 3 March 2017 in Australia and joining Jackman is Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
