The second trailer for Jane Harper’s ‘The Dry’ adaptation has been released featuring more Eric Bana and more plot details.

Bana plays Aaron Falk, a Melbourne-based Federal Agent who returns to the country town he grew up in to bury an old friend and his family.

His friend, Luke (Martin Dingle Wall), has been accused of committing murder-suicide, which is what prompted Falk to further investigate what initially appeared to be an open-and-shut-case.

We find out from this new trailer that the deaths of Luke and his family may be connected to the death of a young girl some decades earlier, of which Falk and his pal Luke may have had a hand in.

The Dry is directed by prominent Australian director Robert Connolly and is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by author Jane Harper.

The book was a page-turner from start to finish, with readers slowly being drip-fed details of the story’s mystery, keeping them wanting more with each chapter.

The film adaptation appears to keep faithful to the source material based on what we can see from this trailer, so audiences should be in for a treat of an Australian thriller film come New Year’s Day 2021.

Check out the intriguing new trailer below.
