Edgar Wright’s popular film Baby Driver gets the Honest Trailer treatment, which pokes fun at some the film’s themes and characters.
Baby Driver (2017) was a success for the fan-favourite director Edgar Wright, a film that was on his mind for 22 years, as referenced in the Honest Trailer below.
Wright rose to success after his breakout hit Shaun of the Dead was released back in 2004.
That film has become a cult classic, and Wright continued to produce more quality cinema with the likes of Hot Fuzz (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and The World’s End (2013).
He was also set to direct Marvel Studios’ film Ant-Man (2015), but famously dropped out after creative differences.
Baby Driver has been his best effort yet however; a highly entertaining, music-themed heist-film, that has grossed more than any of his other films at the box office.
The Honest Trailer makes fun of some of the quirks in the writing of the characters, as well as a hilarious reference to Kevin Spacey’s casting in the film, considering his recent troubles.
