‘Goon: Last of the Enforcers’ – Red Band Trailer

goon enforcers

Check out the short red band trailer for Goon: Last of the Enforcers, the sequel to 2011’s surprisingly awesome ice hockey film Goon.

The film sees Seann William Scott reprise his role as Doug Glatt, an enforcer in his minor-league ice hockey team.

For anyone unaware, the enforcer role essentially goes to the best fighter in the team, for the moments that call for some classic fisticuff action, of which ice hockey is well known for.

The first film introduced us to the character, which was based on real-life ice hockey player Doug Smith.

That film was excellent as far as small films go and is practically a hidden gem, one that I can recommend for any sports-film fans to check out if they haven’t already.

Goon: Last of the Enforcers is directed by actor Jay Baruchel who makes his directorial debut here, as well as having a role in the film.

It stars Seann William Scott whom most people will recognise from American Pie as Stifler, and he’s joined by Liev Schreiber, Elisha Cuthbert and Alison Pill.

The film is due out on 17 March 2017 in Canada, with no other international release dates announced as yet.

Check out the trailer below, and for reference, check out the trailer to the first film below that.
